Blueberries are some of the most beneficial and wonderful plants out there! In spring, their small, white, bell-shaped flowers attract bees of all sorts, including a few pollen specialists. Their dark blue fruits mature in early summer, providing food for birds and humans alike, and in fall, the leaves turn a spectacular shiny red. 'Chippawa' is a compact and very cold-hardy selection, resulting from a hybrid cross between Highbush (Vaccinium corymbosum) and Lowbush (Vaccinium angustifolium) blueberries.
